Individual therapy (also called counselling or psychotherapy) is an effective method for helping people work through problems that are affecting their quality of life. Therapy sessions involve an interactive process of self-discovery between the client and a licensed mental health professional. Working collaboratively, we will discuss your main concerns and target specifics with evidence-based techniques and tools that will help you move forward.
I have a registration with ACA for clinical supervision. I offer counsellors tailored supervision to enhance their professional development, recognise their strengths and improve their self-care skills. Providing a space to reflect and collaborate on clinical decision making, the aim is to improve the clinicians confidence in their work. I enjoy supporting counsellors early in their practice to help them find a style of working that feels authentic to them. I have experience supervising new counsellors and students, as well as more experienced counsellors.
My experience as a national manager working with different parts of the business and clients who access counselling due to work-related issues, has given me an understanding of the challenges and concerns employees commonly face. I offer workshops that focus on preventing burnout and self-care as well as training on a variety of topics to better understand mental health and particular presentations, as well as how to work with these presentations in customer/client facing roles.
